Just wondering how many people will do a Giving Tuesday Campaign, how many will forgo it for an end of year campaign or if you will combine them? What has traditionally been better for your organization?

We will forego this year and focus on our year-end holiday appeal.   Historically, the GT campaign has not been greatly successful for us.  There are too many fabulous charities who are pushing donations on that day, and they have to be made within a few short minutes of the campaign start or the matching funds will all be depleted.  We try very hard to prevent donor fatigue.

We are doing a fundraising event the same week in collaboration with a retail store, so we will probably market the event and also state that if people want to support us without making a purchase, they can donate for Giving Tuesday instead.

Great question!

We will do a couple of social media posts but not spending a huge amount of energy on GT alone. We are putting our effort into our annual year-end messaging instead.

GT hasn't historically been a huge driver of donations for us, even when we did put a ton of effort into the campaign.
