Animal Welfare Professionals

Hey Forum Members. Is anyone aware of a reputable Glossary of Terms for words and processes used in Animal Welfare? Im thinking: positive reinforcement, kill free, shelter, rescue, aggressive etc. While some of these are objectively defined, others are not. Or at least not in a place easily accessed and reputable?

I appreciate how you're prioritizing consistent language! 

• ASPCA recently launched a glossary of behavior terms (visit this Behavior Pathway page, under "Phase A: Defining Language").
• We also have a free, 20-minute course for shelter staff and volunteers on using objective language to describe behavior. It comes with a downloadable glossary template, and includes a practice activity.  Access the How To Communicate Shelter Animal Behavior Clearly course.
