Hi all, remaining anon due to nothing being announced yet.

My rescue is looking to propose a contract with our local shelter to handle all cat care at our facility.  Our shelter has no rooms just for cats they are always full of dogs. this is causing improper enrichment and very high stress for these poor babies.

If you have any kind of contract with your local shelter I'd love to hear how it works because I honestly have no idea just toying with idea.

    Thanks!

I've never heard of a county contract for only cats or only dogs. We have our counties contract, but we gave to take anything from mammals to reptiles, etc.

My organization is only contracted for cats and dogs, though people have attempted to dump animals on our property (like pigs, birds, turtles). We are contracted to take strays and surrenders from our community, as well as take cats and dogs from the local city animal control.
