  • 1.  Have you ever had a Veterinarian of Record or need one?

    If you are a veterinarian or lead or manage an animal shelter or rescue, please complete this survey by one of our UF Online Graduate Students in Shelter Medicine. The project looks to gather information about the Veterinarian of Record relationship between veterinarians and animal shelters or rescues. We want to find out how to improve these relationships for all parties.

    The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and we will accept responses until December 1.

    The purpose of the UF study is to explore the complex VOR relationship between veterinarians and shelters/rescues in order to better describe both the rewarding and the challenging aspects, discover what works to effectively maintain the VOR relationship, better detail the interactions between participants, and begin to develop guidelines for the VOR relationship with shelters/rescues.

    Thank you so much for your support. We are eager to explore the successes and the pain points in the VOR business relationship. We hope that the results of our investigation will lead to information that will support guidelines  (or boundaries) for everyone who must navigate these relationships.

    This is a great opportunity to comment on what has and has not worked for veterinarians who work with animal shelters. Hoping that the results will lead to development of guidelines that will be valuable in supporting the important relationship between veterinarians and animal shelters. I completed the survey and it did not take long to do.  Thanks for working on this Dr. Spencer!
