This is our 10th anniversary as a rescue, and I'd LOVE to do an online fundraiser to raise $10K before the end of the year. I'm having problems coming up with ideas though! Help!

Christy, could you possibly find a $5k match donor and then ask your followers supporters to donate like $10? You'd need 500 people to donate $10 over the course of the year! Good luck and congrats!!

I have found people like to give to something specific. So what if you created some different thresholds based on the cost of different services. For example:
$10 pays for a first round of puppy vaccines
$25 pays for a foster kitten care package
$50 pays for a wellness package for a pet in need
$100 pays for two community cat spay/neuters

Something like that, where it is almost a shopping list of things so people can really understand where their money is going.

Congrats! One small caveat: we tend to be much more excited about anniversaries than our supporters. I think you have already received excellent suggestions (find a matching donor, give specific examples), and this will help shift the focus from celebrating yourself to celebrating all that you've accomplished together in the community over these ten years!
