Hello, I have a 5 year old rescue lab mix who has bitten before.

We have an emergency housing situation, where we need to rehome her or else we will find ourselves homeless.

We ( my family and I) have been trying various rescues, and friends and families. To see if anyone can take her in or foster her but with no luck. She needs to be out of the house in 2 days or we will be homeless.

My dog flora, is a sweetheart when you get to know her. It applies to both dogs and people, but she lacks in the socialization department, and needs training for it. She has had training before but only individually and not alongside of other dogs. So she gets cautious with new people and dogs.

I have raised her as my daughter, her entire life, and I have no intention of giving her to get euthanized.

Due to her income situation, we've always had to try to make ends meet. So we haven't been able to provide her the most comfortable living environment.

I was wondering if you guys knew any resources, that can help us?

I hope you were able to find a solution. Most resources are geographically specific, so if you still need help, please share your town and state so people are able to recommend specific resources if they are available in your area.

Hope your situation has been resolved as you posted this 8 days ago. It sounds like you love her very much and would rather keep her if you can make the housing situation works out. will work with a trainer to remedy your situation. Not all bites are the same. We are a small non-profit but connect with us and we can see if we can help you keep Flora (what a pretty name). I am a trainer. Contact: connect@thelifeofkai.org

      Hi,

Apologies that i missed this message.  Such a stressful situation to be in - we're all sending virtual support your way. Similar to others, if you tell use a city/state where you live, it's easier for us to direct you to potential resources.  You can reach me directly at sheila@maddiesfund.org.
