Voiceless Moments Dog Sanctuary and Rescue has several community programs to aid those who are struggling or are in need of services. Our first program is a food bank that is set up to aid those that are in financial hardship in feeding their animals. We know times are hard, and people are having to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their animals. We are a dog only rescue but do help all animals with our food bank. We have been helping all who say they need help but are looking for better ways to serve those that need it. There are certain individuals who abuse this service, and we are looking for ways to find out easier who these individuals are prior to offering assistance. What are some methods and procedures that other rescues put into place to help? Our second program is a low cost spay/neuter program. We have partnered with some veterinary clinics to lower the cost of these procedures for anyone that is in need to help stave off the growing number of drops or strays in our area due to unwanted and unplanned litters. What are some ways that your rescue initiates this program, and what are some of the requirements you use? Our third program is help with emergency veterinary expenses. We have partnered with our veterinarian to provide emergency services to individuals that are suffering from financial hardship. Our veterinarian provides these services at cost for our organization, and we cover the cost for the individual.
