We are a small cat only shelter and we have about 20-25 total capacity. We currently have 3 week old kittens and our new shelter manager would like to prevent all volunteer interaction until 6 weeks. We have had groups of kittens like this in the past and have implemented washing hands and protocols. A few of us think it’s important for that social interaction and a few others think it’s best for their health to avoid that interaction. Just trying to get some more opinions on what protocols other shelters have in place!
