Pardon me if this has been answered already but I couldn't find a thread. I have family in Pasadena and Topanga Canyon. My family in Topanga Canyon evacuated with their pets and at this point, it looks like their house is safe.

Many of my family members and friends want to know some good animal rescue organizations in the area that are deep into the rescuing of animals (and their people) in the California areas affected by the fires.  Any suggestions?

And for those of you that are on the ground, doing the work, THANK YOU so much!

    • Pacific Palisades area -- the Executive Director  narrowly lost losing her home. She evacuated with 20+ cats ---  but she will continue to help her community throughout what is sure to be a long battle.

    Hi Ellen,

I work at Stray Cat Alliance. We are located in downtown Los Angeles are making room for displaced cats by pulling cats from the shelters and placing them in foster homes. Stray Cat Alliance has been around since 2000 and was founded by Christi Metropole.  We have open adoption hours every Saturday and Sunday from 2-5pm.
