Hello -
I am the director of a small animal shelter in a rural county in East Texas. Because we are a rural area, we have massive issues with dumped animals, and because of that, almost everyone in the area has dogs. So we do all the normal things, we have a big adoption RV and we take it to other communities for adoption events, we post the dogs on social media, etc.
But I need help moving the large dogs. I need ideas. I have looked up some of them, but I like to stay current. What are some successful programs you have implemented to get your large dogs adopted? I need to hear ideas from everyone, but specifically from those in rural areas like mine, with limited population and lots of animals already taken in by the local population.
