Hi everyone,
We have been seeing an increased number of adult dogs come into our shelter who are testing positive for ringworm. Typically for ringworm positive puppies we require they be kept in an area that can be cleaned and disinfected (no carpet, tile floors, etc) and away from other animals. With large adult dogs (>20lbs) we understand this can be a difficult ask for many foster volunteers, so we were wondering if other shelters have seen this as well and if so what your policies are and how you are handling cases like this?
Thank you,
