This is great! I am in South Florida and our animal care and control will not adopt out any positive cats- they all go straight to the euthanasia list and rescues are blasted to come pick them up. My rescue is one of, if not the only one, to pull both FIV and FELV positive or potentially positive cats. Our shelter was not even aware of the quantitative FELV PCR test. Now, they realize this is needed for possible FELVs but they will not send out for the test themselves.
