The "mystery" coughing illness in dogs is now in WA State. We have one shelter on lockdown due to this pneumonia-like illness. It's not kennel cough.

I'm curious if you are seeing this in your area now. I first heard about this from the Asher House in Oregon a couple months or so ago. Cultures are coming back negative, normal courses of antibiotics are not working. Some dogs make it with oxygen chambers some do not.

I heard the program, and it was very interesting, especially since my best friend's dog exhibits the same symptoms described in the program. My friend took the dog to the vet, and it was determined that the dog cannot be placed under the care of other shelters. Unfortunately, my friend had to cancel her Christmas vacation plans because of this situation.
