Having a letter that you can send to places like Lowes, Home Depot, Wholesale appliance places (I see you're in Sonoma so you can find places like Matt's Wholesale, Kelly's Appliance Center, etc.) that describes how many loads of laundry you do a month with cute pics of the pets they'll be helping by donating a tax deductible item might help get a quicker replacement item in tandem with looking for grants.
