We are a 501 c 3 that helps owned pets. We have successful saved hundreds of pets and their families. Our focus is on the pet and the people. We are trying to get donations and need business funding to help us continue.

Wondering if this is something that is useful information for you to know.  How can we help your community?

We do not pay for wellness care-spay or neuter. Our concentration is on life saving care.

Hello! We do support our community in a similar way. way to go as it is NOT an easy path. We are in the process of updating our website to offer (for lack of a better way to explain) almost a crowd fundraising for each family/animal. Highlight the ongoing need, mention the person is on a restricted income(ie seniors). use videos!!! if the family doesnt feel comfortable you or your staff go on with images of the dog/cat, show them the texts you get…

We do complete spays/neuters to avoid emergencies dow the road like Pyometra and will put things like that out there.

Tracking this info with the person/ family demographic(age etc) can help obtain grants. This also helps if you are looking to further the mission with petfood banks etc.

Reach out if you want to connect on resource options, vet support. I find vets to be very supportive of this kind of intermediary care. Maybe some would even allow for donation jars with a particular animal picture for the month(one that needs a special surgery)?

Financial Resources for Emergency Pet Care

For anyone unfamiliar with our org, we are a support community for pet parents facing amputation for their dog or cat. We have numerous programs to help when amputation is necessary.

Our ASAP program can chip in $1000 toward the cost of amputation surgery for income-qualified people.

And one of our programs all rescues need to know about is the Tripawds Rescue Fund, which will match $500 toward the cost of surgery for an animal in the care of a rescue or shelter.

We are also a 501(c)(3) that provides medical funding and safety-net resources to people in three surrounding counties in Florida.  Getting donations has been very difficult recently.  We keep trying new ideas but nothing has taken off yet.  So keep trying.   

We have been very fortunate to get grants from our local community foundations.  They seem to be the best place for us since they are very familiar with our work.  We received the Small Business of the Year - Nonprofit Category in 2022 from our local chamber and have been active in animal welfare since 2017 as a nonprofit.

This year we teamed up with a new,  smaller nonprofit that also provides medical funding specifically for ER cases.  We just received a grant for the collaboration.  Collaborating with other nonprofits or businesses is a great idea when applying for grants.  People working together to keep pets and their families together!

For our project, we started an entirely new website specific to the project:  paws-project.org.  I am still in the process of finishing adding the safety net page and what we can do to help there.  I plan to submit a grant for safety-net resources and small medical cases.  

Our other website is lostfoundpets941.com.  We initially started as a lost pet group on Facebook.  We currently have over 52,000 members in that group  Facebook.com/groups/941LostPets)   and over 7000 on our FB page  (Facebook.com/LostPetServices) .  Even with those huge numbers, getting donations has been a struggle recently.  I attribute it to the cost of living here in Florida.  I'm sure it is like that everywhere.  

One thing I know is one of my downfalls, is I don't post the pets we help in our medical assistance program enough.  Last year we helped over 160 cases and over 190 the year before contributing over $225,000 in medical funding since 2018.  I feel posting the stories all the time and making sure people see the work you do is most helpful.  I need to take my own advice.

All of the charities pay directly to the vets. http://www.keepyourpet.com/vet-care-assistance/ Some of the charities are VERY TIGHT with money.    There is a nationwide group that does pop-up clinics at human clinic called STREET DOG COALITION. Many vet schools have a student run clinic monthly at local homeless shelters.  I have also heard of a group working with domestic violence shelters that when a human leaves they can also bring the pet. Some require the pet to be spayed/neutered a head of time and have rabies. For young animals they have fosters available  for 90 days. But can't find a link at the moment.

I volunteer with Street Dog Coalition as a trainer. I donate harnesses and leashes and provide behavior services for the pets that need them. Here in Sacramento, Dr. Karsten runs the vet clinic with vet students from UC Davis Vet School. The clinics that I have been to were not at the homeless shelter. We have been in a new location since December and before that, the clinic was held at a parking lot near the unhoused encampment to maximize attendance as many do not have transportation.  The clinic works with the vet school and Front Street to provide vaccines, spay/neuter, and other medical needs.  I love to get the info of the group that works with domestic violence. Does Red Rover Relief ring a bell? I believe Red Rover partners with GreaterGoodCharities to provide shelters where pets can join their humans. I am looking forward to learn more about the group involving with domestic violence. Tx.

I have heard of the program for domestic violence but I myself haven't been able to find who manages the program. Personally, I have run into several people wanting to leave that have  surrendered a pet.  I fostered a pitty mix pup for 90 days. Because the person wanted her pet back and it was too young to have full vac.  I and gf found it a great home.

Many victims chose to stay but many also surrendered to leave. It is sad. Thank you for fostering.  So the person did not get her pet back?
