Our small shelter as has had an issue getting the public back in the doors since covid.  We are severally lacking in fosters/volunteers. We are looking to do some Holiday Events and/or open houses. We are a smaller brick and mortar shelter housing about 30 cats/30 dogs  in a mixture of kennel and communal rooms.

I am wondering what ideas others have done for events within the building.

Each event we would like to have some sort of giving tree for the animals ( Easter we were thinking like plastic eggs with colors being different price values). We like to include kids crafts to take or to give to the animals usually kitties.  Cookies/Coffee for people who come to the open house. Pup cups for the shelter dogs.

I'm just looking for ways to get people in the building. Maybe we can snag a few more fosters or volunteers, its not really about raising money, just getting the community back in our doors.

Any input or ideas would be amazing!!

    Thank you in advance

I have a few resources that are foster-related:

Best Friends' Foster Rallies (10 min. video)
Foster Open House @ One Tail at a Time (20 min.)
