One of the many really good reasons to use Rescue Groups software as a management tool is that you click a button on the pet record, and it pushes out the picture, videos, and description far and wide (including Petfinder and AdoptaPet -- but over 200 other places). Upon adoption, you connect the pet record to the adopter's record, and it registers the microchip and also updates the pet listing as adopted. I haven't had to think about manually listing dogs in many years, thanks to Rescue Groups -- it's very affordable for even the smallest of rescues (it's non-profit). It's also great to track the medical records and handle reminders for check-ups, vax, parasite prevention, etc. (I can set it to send me the alert, and then forward it to the foster home-- or send it directly to the foster; you can also set the permissions so that trusted foster volunteers can upload pics, write adoption bios, update care records etc. with just a little bit of training).
The adoption listing side of the software is free, but it's worth paying the (small) annual fee for the Data Management Service -- it's incredibly useful (it does a lot of what Pet Point does, but without hooking you into the horrible 24PW ecosystem)

I learned about it from our Datamars/PetLink microchip rep, and it was such a good tip -- https://rescuegroups.org.

Good afternoon, I am looking for more reputable adoption sites to list our available pets. We use Adoptapet and Petfinder. We have been issues with Petfinder as it keeps going down and it is becoming more trouble some to work with. Has anyone used RescueMe? Any feedback? We need to be able to list in the Pacific NW and East Coast.
Thanks all so much!
