Animal Welfare Professionals

Hello! I'm the director of a small rescue called Paws4ever with an adoption center and dog training facility outside of Chapel Hill.  We are interested in starting a community support fund that could be used to help cover medical care for pets, training classes or private lessons (and potentially housing costs in crisis situations?). We are just getting started with developing this project and would be interested in hearing from other organizations what has worked, what didn't work, what relationships you developed with partnering organizations and what the guidelines and processes for the community support programs are. I realize every organization and area may need something different, but if we can avoid re-inventing the wheel (especially as a small org), we would be thrilled!
