We did! I can't say that we've seen any success from it though, and that simply may be because we marketed it exclusively through trucker-specific communications channels--I did a radio interview, was featured in a magazine article, and posted in several Facebook groups--all truck driver specific. We have not promoted through our general communications channels or social media, and that may be the next step we take in the new year after the holidays calm down. I will say one piece of insider info I learned that was really helpful was that I needed to mostly be targeting owner/operators, because often truck drivers who are employees are working for companies that do not allow pets in the truck (not always, but often).
For the specific dogs that you think would be good truck dogs, maybe print off adoption flyers and post them at nearby truck stops?

@Katie Pemberton & @Alexis Pugh, didn't you offer a program for truckers this past summer at Memphis Animal Services? Can you share what you did?

Hi All,
I had a thought.....Does anyone know of a rescue organization or a program where a shelter can sign up for their animals to be adopted out to truck drivers? We have a few dogs who we think would benefit from this but I am not sure where to really start. Thank you all in advance!
