Do any other rescues who care for neonatal kittens have any written protocols they could share? We are looking for protocols related to: Anything else that is helpful in caring for the most vulnerable little ones! Thanks,NancyLittle Orphans Kitten Rescue, Inc.Louisville, KY
We used to use The Kitten Lady's book quite a bit: http://www.kittenlady.org/tiny-but-mighty
We were able to get a handful of copies donated and would use them ourselves in addition to loaning them to new kitten fosters.
Thanks! We also use Hannah Shaw's book, but are looking for a variety of approaches for comparison.
Check out the National Kitten Coalition resources at https://kittencoalition.org/, especially its Kitten Nursery Manual. I hope they are helpful.
We also use Kitten Lady's book and her videos. Also took our fosters to hear her when she came locally to speak. We have also run certain issues by our vets for recommendations and help.we also use Alley Cat Allies as a resource for how to care for Neonates
Please check out the wonderful kitten care resources, including blog articles, free webinars, the Online Kitten Conference (June 9-11), the virtual National Kitten Coalition Veterinary Conference (October 8) and more. Let's SAVE MORE KITTENS!
