  • 1.  Puppy mill ban

    Hi all! Back in 2015, Humane Action Pennsylvania helped to pass a retail sales ban of cats, dogs, and rabbits not from shelters or rescues in Pittsburgh, effectively ending the sale of mill bred animals in the city! More recently, we have been working on educating law enforcement agencies on identifying signs of animal abuse/neglect, and the protocols to follow when they encounter abused animals.

    Hey Michael! I would love to know more. I am in Missouri, where pet retail, back yard breeders and mills are in full force and a major lack of legislation from our government. I live in a rural area but I feel passing something like this is larger city would be a great starting point.
