  • 1.  Recommendations for cat housing (condos)?

    Posted 05-25-2024 09:07 AM

Hi, we are a cat-only shelter and want to add additional housing - a bank of 3-4 "condos". They need to to double-wide with a portal and easy to clean. It would be great if they could also be fear-free, i.e., raised off the ground.

The ones we have now are 5 years old and have not worn very well - so we would love recommendations for brands that other shelters like!

(The photo is very similar to what we have now, but they got super-hot so we had to replace the plastic fronts with mesh).

    Thanks!!

Hi Jo - I hope this link works to what we use. They are apparently a pain to put together but they work great. Litters of kittens can ramble up and down all levels of the condo. If needed, the tray can be reversed to divide it in half as well.

** Link did not work - search on Amazon for Ferret Nation, model number 182

I’ll also try to post it from my laptop rather than my iPad, which is not cooperating! Hope this is helpful.

    Hello!

We have been using these indoor cat cages to house mothers and their kittens. They have worked pretty well for us. I'm not sure how much of a permanent solution they would be, but they are modular and easy to build according to your needs. We bought 2 different kinds and built them as 4 separate enclosures. We also purchased a larger one that we use at our adoption events at Petco.

    Hello again:
Trying to copy and paste from the laptop this morning. Here is our cat condo:

The link doesn't want to copy and paste, but the search is "Ferret nation" and it's model 182.
