r/animalshelterstories isn't really for advertising adoptables. It's more for discussing shelter issues and commiserating with other shelter/rescue employees and volunteers. Animal advertising and fundraising pleas don't generally go over well in that sub. I'd recommend something more like your local(ish) subreddit, r/pets, r/rescuedogs, r/dogs, r/cats, r/rescuecats, r/pets, breed-specific subs, etc., as those audiences are more pet owners than those involved in sheltering. But whatever you do don't label obvious bully breeds as "lab mixes" or something like that. People will jump all over you for that.
