This is fantastic, thank you! I work for a program in Colorado that helps folks in crisis find temporary foster homes for their pets while they get treatment or stabilize. We often get requests for help from out of state and I wish more communities had resources guides like this. Thank you for posting!

Subject: Resources Guide
Humane Action Pittsburgh (HAP) has compiled a comprehensive list of resources for pet owners in need on their website. Among them are veterinary clinics providing affordable spay/neuter procedures and locations providing low-cost pet food for owners in need. HAP has also compiled a list of emergency resources for pet-owners facing threats such as domestic violence or homelessness. This includes rescues that provide emergency boarding, domestic violence shelters that accept pets, homeless shelters that accept pets, financial aid for pets, and free veterinary care for pets experiencing homelessness.
HAP also provides resources for other animal-friendly practices, such as what to consider when adopting a pet, how to humanely handle interactions with wild animals, moving toward a plant-based diet, reducing single-use plastic, and humane education programs.
Our full resources page can be found at humaneactionpittsburgh.org/resources. If you are not located in the Pittsburgh area, reach out to your local animal advocates and see if they have one for your area!
