Hello everyone,
I'm reaching out on behalf of Animal Protection Society–Friday Harbor (APS-FH), a small but dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal shelter located on beautiful San Juan Island in Washington State.
In 2024, we had an intake of 202 dogs and cats-an achievement we're proud of given our remote island location and limited resources. Like many shelters, one of our ongoing challenges is maintaining a consistent, quality supply of food for our animals.
We recently applied for the Hill's Food, Shelter, Love program but were unfortunately not eligible. While this was a setback, we're determined to find other food or brand partnerships that might be open to working with a smaller shelter like ours.
We're seeking connections to:

Pet food brands with donation or sponsorship programs

Distributors with overstock or near-expiry stock they'd be willing to donate

Foundations or corporate giving programs supporting animal welfare

Shelters or orgs that might share tips or contacts for food partnerships
We're more than happy to provide documentation of our nonprofit status, intake stats, and impact reports. Our team is also open to collaborative ideas or pilot programs that benefit animals in care and communities in need.
