Does anyone have information on ordinances in small towns in TX that have worked in helping control dog population, return rates, strays, etc. in their community?  I am on a newly formed Animal Advisory Board.  Some of the discussions are moving toward what just passed in Longview and wanted to get guidance from others.  Thank you!

    Hi Lauren,

I'm an Animal Control Officer out of NH and wanted to offer some suggestions if you've not yet reached out to them:

Texas Humane Legislation Network - Director, Shelby Bobosky

I've worked as a virtual admin contractor for THLN and their team may be  able to provide you with some helpful guidance.

    Texas Animal Control Association

If TACA works similarly to how our NH Animal Control Association does, they likely have a large group of TX ACO's as members of this group from all over TX and might be willing to put the question out to the group in effort to direct your question to a concentrated group whom could be most helpful.

    Good luck!
