    Received this email from Southwest Airlines volunteer organiation and she said I could pass along. Assuming some of you already use their resources. Sounds like a great organiztion. We are not in a position to use them (we don't get many small dogs in our rescue and are only a dog rescue).

    Hello,
     
    I run a volunteer program with Southwest Airlines to help transport rescued cats and small dogs to their FURever homes using our employees flight benefits. We have 4,500 volunteers located across the USA and we wanted to extend our services to your program! If you could use any help in the future, please let us know.
     
    I'll attach our Facebook page as well as an Application Form if you're interested in the future.

    Laura - thanks so much. Talk about timing!! We're desperately trying to get a dog from Atlanta to NY where we have a foster (all ours in GA and near are taken) and when this popped up I jumped on it. I wish they spelled out more about their rules and regulations somewhere but I wrote to them to get more info. This forum is amazing. Such great info being shared. I'm so grateful.

    Excellent info! Our small rural rescue just applied. Hope we get approved. We frequently transport our dogs to larger cities. Thank you.
