  • 1.  Texting platform to use on web browser

    Posted 06-24-2024 08:08 AM

    Good morning,

Our Humane Advocacy team (there are 2 of us) are in need of a texting platform that we can use to contact our clients back & forth. We have been using google voice but we are getting blocked as spam on a regular basis (we can text back and forth about 30 people a day). We do have a small budget. Does anybody have any suggestions or tips?

    I would love to chat!

Hi! Have you Googled "texting apps for websites"? Just wondering. That could be a start. Cheers, Catherine

I think the OP didn't create a thread just for someone to tell them to "Google it"

Daniel, that is not what I said. It is a starting point for many people. I fully intended to provide more feedback based on her reply. I always search on Google to see what options are available, and then I narrow down the list. Just so you know...

There are Dedicated bussines texting platforms like Twilio or Vonage.
But I think WhatsApp Bussines is the best there is, decently popular so most clients are bound to have whatsapp already installed

    Hey Melissa,

Doobert offers a built in texting feature that is completely free! We offer the quick messaging functionality that works very similar to many other texting platforms on the market for no charge at all. You can also choose your own phone number as well as create templates for your messages. This could be a huge time saver as you mentioned you work with around 30 people per day!  Here is just a quick link to a blog article on this feature if you are interested: https://doobert.com/better-communication-for-better-rescues-how-to-use-the-two-way-messaging-feature/

For a texting platform with a small budget, you might want to check out SimpleTexting or Textedly. They offer affordable plans and features like mass texting, automation, and customization. Another option could be RumbleUp, which is specifically designed forpeer-to-peer texting and has a free trial.

We’ve been using SMS.To for text messaging with our fosters, and it's worked pretty well right from a browser. I like that I can keep everything in one place and reply quickly, even during busy days. It's also nice that I don’t have to share my personal number. The notifications are reliable, and it’s easy for others on the team to jump in if needed.
