    For the next two months in Maddie's Monthly Behavior Connection, we'll be focusing on the Human Side of Shelter Work with @Valerie Bogie.   Valerie is a Veterinary Social Worker who has a background in animal behavior and we're super excited for this series! During part one on Sept 25 @ noon PT/3 pm ET, Valerie talked about secondary trauma, burnout, and burden transfer. Her presentation  focused on how our stress might be lessened by working on things like compassion satisfaction and building our resilience.
