Looking for any recommendations on veterinarians or services available to provide consultations for shelters. We are currently in need a third party to go over all  of our protocols, equipment, surgery, etc.  For a large shelter in Houston, TX.

    thanks!

The ASPCA does shelter consults. I'm not sure if what they offer is exactly what you're looking for, but contacting them might be a good place to start. If they can't help, they may be able to point you in the direction of someone who can.

The shelter medicine programs at University of Wisconsin, University of California-Davis  and University of Florida veterinary schools provide shelter consultations, both on-site and remotely. There are also a number of private companies who provide shelter consultation services with veterinarians. You could also connect with the Association of Shelter Veterinarians (https://www.sheltervet.org/home) for tons of resources and contacts. Encourage your veterinarians to join the ASV if they haven't already. You never have to re-invent the wheel in shelter medicine...there are so many great resources and people available to help!
