  • 1.  Vet endorsement for IAABC Certifications

Hi! I'm currently working towards an IAABC CCBC certification, and would love any suggestions on how to build a relationship with a vet who could later give me an endorsement for the certification.  Though I previously owned pets, I currently do not and have moved since then. I'm no longer in touch with my past vet and am also told they no longer exist. My current work with cats also does not involve vet care, nor am I required to coordinate with them. I would absolutely love to build a relationship with a local vet, but without my own pets, I'm not sure the best way to approach this. Would love any ideas or suggestions that have worked for others, or that you think might work well! Thanks in advance :)

Hello Deborah, I was in a similar situation. I made appointments with local vets to speak with them about my plans. While they are very busy they helped me. Keep it  light and do all the work, as most cannot add another thing to their plate. They started to call me in to consult with what they had termed difficult clients. This worked great as I was able to take some of the pressure off them, they in turn helped me with my goals with IAABC .

    best wishes
