Animal Welfare Professionals

Wondering if anyone has used a service like Volunteer Match to solicit for a volunteer to do basic accounting? I'm concerned about the necessity of having to vet someone as they will have access to financial data for the non-profit.  We really can't afford to pay for this service, but recognize that we do need someone doing the job. Any thoughts will be appreciated!

We are a small sanctuary/rescue and we too cannot afford this service. Currently we have one of our board of directors vet new volunteers. The volunteer has to fill out an application, but we don't ask for any financial information. Our board member calls their references (job and personal) and does an online background check.

I find myself pondering whether it might be a challenge for our organization to arrange a TNR event and secure the services of a cost-effective veterinarian. After all, such events are orchestrated with the noble intention of benefiting our community. It seems only fitting that we should have access to veterinary support that aligns with our community-focused mission.
