I was notified by another local rescue that our city had hired a particular person that stays on our radar due to incidents in the past that have resulted in her surrendering sick puppies, dying puppies, neglected adults, to various local rescues. She has managed to pull and breed unaltered dogs from other area shelters in the past for her hog hunting "hobby", I have a long list of complaints with her. Unfortunately, none of these incidents were pushed forward to where she was charged with anything. However, pictures and vet statements and screenshots of lies will tell all.
She has been hired as animal control officer. They claim she is getting dogs into rescue right and left, which is very odd because rescues here are full, and we are struggling to find sister rescues to help us with our unwanted dogs. What rescues are these dogs going to? I don't feel the city is following up on anything, and I truly believe she is probably flipping these dogs or taking them home, probably ending up in the same shape as many other dogs in her care have in the past. She loves the hero status she gets when she helps a dog, we've all seen this, and I don't feel our city cares what she does with the dogs as long as they don't have them in their possession.
what can we do?
attaching photos of the first litter of puppies she was forced to turn over to our rescue. She obtained the momma and her babies from a rescue in west Texas, and they saw a post she made about them, and their conditions, and reached out to us for help. These were puppies that she claimed were fully vaccinated and dewormed, and their skin issues were all because momma dog was "allergic to grass".
