A recent survey revealed that 62% of shelters either don’t have, are just getting started or would benefit from improvement of their post-adoption follow-up programs. In this session, we’ll be talking about how different organizations are working to keep pets in homes with behavioral support of people and pets after adoption. If you have something that you’re really happy with related to following up with your adopters, we’d love to hear about what you’re doing during this meeting.
Human Animal Support Services (HASS) facilitates Job-Alike Groups to provide colleagues with similar roles and responsibilities the opportunity to discuss common issues, ask questions, determine best practices, and share program ideas among their peers. These groups include collaborative sessions that enable participants to share resources and develop relationships across multiple districts and settings.
