Would love to hear your thoughts on how you help FeLV and FIV cats get adopted. What kind of marketing, education and promotions work best to find these special kitties the homes they deserve?

Tree house Humane Society society blogs about their Felv kitties and tries to give out as much info as possible to inform people that might be viewing them as unadoptable. http://blog.millioncatchallenge.org/shelter-launches-adoption-program-for-felv-positive-cats-and-they-all-go-home/

also, Merrimack River feline rescue society has a club set up to support Felv cats. Some cute ideas

At FieldHaven Feline Center we always have FIV+ cats.  We don't specifically market them; they are promoted just like any other adoptable except their signage, cage cards, online profile, etc state they are "FIV Positively Adoptable".  We provide educational material and discuss with potential adopters.  FIV+ cats are co=housed with negative cats unless, of course,  they don't get along with other cats.  Then, just as we would with any other cat like that, they get a private suite.

@Joy, Could you share the educational materials and your talking points to potential adopters?  Thanks!
