Hi, Jazzcat! Just to clarify, you don't mean a Facebook group, right? Because you can't post as your page to a group. You CAN, however, post to other organizations' pages as your page, so that's what I'll walk you through here.
Instructions on a desktop to post to another Facebook page as your Facebook page (in the example below I blanked out all choices but one, to preserve my clients' privacy):
- Go to the page.
- In the "Create a post" field, you'll see a little drop-down profile image in the upper right hand corner; it will be your personal Facebook profile.
- Click the tiny arrow next to your profile photo, and then select your page.
Instructions on a desktop to post a comment on another Facebook page's post as your Facebook page:
- Go to the post you want to comment on.
- Notice to the far right of the line that says "Like," "Comment," and "Share," you'll see your profile picture again.
- Click on the little arrow next to your profile picture.
- Select the page you want to comment as.
On your phone, it's not quite as simple.
First, you will need to make sure you're using the regular Facebook app, and not the Facebook page managers app.
Second, you can't make a post to a page as another page using the mobile app; you can (usually) post a comment, but if you want to write a post to a page as your page, you'll need to use your desktop.
Additionally, these are instructions for iOS; I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the Android Facebook app.
To comment or reply as your page on another Facebook page, using the Facebook iOS app:
- Go to the post you want to comment on
- On the post itself, rather than in the "comment" or "reply" fields, just above the word "share," you'll see your profile photo.
- Click the little arrow next to it.
- Select the page you want to comment or reply as.
- Note that this should control every comment on every post on that page during that session, but doesn't always. Be sure to check the little profile image on every comment or reply you make on that page to be sure it "stuck."
I hope this was helpful!
Christie
