  • 1.  Where does a No Kill shelter usually post jobs for management vacancies?

    I'm interested in finding Executive Director candidates who have worked in a No Kill Shelter.  The Humane Society of Central Texas has an opening for an Executive Director with No Kill Shelter experience, at least 5 years, Bachelor's degree.  Please send resumes to barbara@onealconsulting.com

    The Humane Society of Central Texas (HSCT) located in Waco, TX. is an advocate and adoption provider for the community goal of maintaining a NO-KILL status at the Animal Shelter.  In August 2019, a 94% live exit rate was achieved.  HSCT is the contracting partner with the City of Waco at the Animal Shelter which is an open-admission, regional, shelter serving about 260,000 people in the area.

    If your shelter has a Linkedin Page, Linkedin is a great place to post for management positions.  Facebook also allows you to share job postings.
    The platforms Indeed.com. Idealist.org and Ziprecruiter.com are also good options.   Good luck finding great candidates!
