    Hello All --

I wanted to make sure everyone is aware that most national animal welfare organizations have state-level personnel resources available for assistance to organizations. This includes subject matter expert speakers for meetings, extensive publications and access to resources that we may not know are available. I recently attended meetings with speakers from HSUS & Best Friends. Both were well worth my time. For example, the HSUS speaker explained the legislative process as it relates to animal welfare initiatives and their focus causes in our state (varies by region based on political climate) and provided a process graphic. She also provided an email sign-up to be notified about legislative agendas & statuses.

One particularly interesting resource provided is https://www.thegryphonpress.com/ , a children's book publisher with many titles available and deep discounts for non-profits...great for school outreach, summer reading, book fairs, prizes, donating to school libraries. "Buddy Unchained" is very popular and has won several literary awards. https://www.thegryphonpress.com/books/buddy-unchained/

Be sure to follow your local animal welfare leaders on social media and sign up for any emails to be notified of events, campaigns & opportunities. <3
