  • 1.  Introducing adopted puppy into home

We just adopted a new puppy (3 months old).  She is the sweetest dogs. We have a senior pet at home that has been the only dog in the house.  Our adopted puppy is actually bigger than her.  Well our senior is not very happy and keep showing dominance.  Our puppy is allowing it, which is good.  Any tips on making them best of friends without any bloodshed!??  (We have 2 little kids, so she is fiercely protective).

    Thanks!

We just adopted two puppies from the Humane Society.  We have a 14 year old dog.  He was not happy!!  He lets the puppies know when they get too close, but he is starting to warm up to them. They play like puppies around him.  Sometimes in the mornings, he actually will play for a moment or two.  It has actually brought new life into him.  Give this a chance.  Your older pups needs to know that he is still important too, and needs attention along with the puppy.  Tincture of time and attention are good medicines.  Best wishes
