Hi all - does anyone's program have a written (or even an informal) protocol surrounding a quarantine period or required cleaning procedures after a foster home has housed ringworm positive animals / before they can be allowed to take new fosters?   We have a set of kittens that have been in four foster homes that recently started displaying ringworm lesions, so we need to make sure we're not sending new animals back into these homes to be exposed and are looking for some guidance around how other organizations approach this.    Thanks so much!

I'm not sure if this answers all your questions but here's some info from the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Shelter Medicine program about Managing Ringworm in a Foster Home: https://www.uwsheltermedicine.com/library/guidebooks/ringworm/managing-ringworm-in-a-foster-home-or-private-home

This Maddie's Fund educational webinar was SUPER helpful to me when I was researching cleaning protocol- I even sent the link to fosters who were disinfecting after both ringworm and calici outbreaks. They really liked the interactive and thorough nature of the presentation. https://www.maddiesfund.org/cleaning-and-disinfection-in-foster-homes/presentation_html5.html
