Hello!  I'm wondering if anyone has any helpful resources that outline helpful ways to explain animal behavior such as "guarding" or "dog selective", but in language that is more accessible to the every day adopter.  I'm looking for a resource that would be helpful for writing bios as well as how shelter staff speaks with potential adopters.  Thank you in advance!

Here's Aimee Sadler w/ DPFL straight out of her playgroup manual Dog Selective

"Plays well with some dogs but is intolerant of other dogs. Might also target or be targeted by other dogs. Can play very nicely with others when setup correctly by humans, not a good choice to unstructured or public group play settings."

In the bold is the most important for an average adopter to be aware of in my opinion

What a great question. If there is a good guidebook out there, we'll buy it. Good luck!

This might not be exactly what you're looking for, but the resources here are so good I have to share: https://centerforshelterdogs.tufts.edu/dog-behavior/special-adoptions/
