I’m wondering when other groups give Kittens their first distemper vaccination. 7 weeks? 8 weeks?  What is the kittens are very small?

At approximately 2 weeks of age - or at least 1 pound in weight and then every 2-4 weeks until 16 weeks of age within a shelter setting.

Our rescue requires first shot at four weeks of age with first booster 3-4 weeks after first shot and second and final booster be given 3-4 weeks after first booster.

We follow the ASV guidelines and begin vaccinating at 4 weeks of age, then every two weeks until about 18 weeks old (if they’re not adopted by then).

We do the first FVRCP at four weeks, then every four weeks.
