I am curious to know what kind of protocol is in place when a cat isn't eating. Currently, if a cat in the shelter doesn't eat by Day 2, an exam request is submitted. We will also offer something that might entice the cat to eat more than what we originally offered (we have a contract with a brand). Do you offer one type of food? Or, how many types at a time? Do you feed once per day or how often? How do you communicate with various staff or volunteers caring for the cat what has been tried, what worked, what didn't? What other things do you do to help the cat to eat (behaviorally and medically)? Thank you.
