We are a small rescue in northeast Wisconsin. We have found that Facebook is much more effective these days but we still maintain a site blog. Our blog sometimes mirrors what I've written for Facebook so it's simply a matter of cutting and pasting on Wordpress and adding pictures. We also have guest bloggers on training, photography, insurance, etc. These stay on our site and I keep adding more resources. Our rescue is called NEW PAWSibilities and so we have a fun blog called PAWSitive Endings which are those happily ever after stories. We have a blog because when I add content to the site we go higher in the search engine rankings. We used to be behind rescues and shelters that were over an hour away which was ridiculous. Now we are usually number one or two and our numbers of adoptions have risen. Getting content from others is hard because I have to chase them down and then edit like crazy. But it does help with credibility. We also do a blog on featured dogs who have been here for a long time and or are sponsored.
