Beginning stages of introducing pet care for cancer patients in hospital

I am in the very infant stages of trying to devise a suitable and viable plan for cancer patients who are facing hospital stays or long-term health challenges (related to cancer) who need care for their pets and have no other options. Is this crazy?  I am a breast cancer survivor for 3 years.  I have a love for dogs.  I wanted to pair them both to see if there was a way to come up with ways to prolong the longevity of pets who would otherwise be sent to shelters.

Your idea reminds me of Dogs on Deployment. It's a similar concept and I can totally understand the need for it. You could maybe coordinate with existing rescues to utilize their foster network. Or build it yourself from the ground up, finding your own fosters or employees! I'd love to hear if you have any updates on your idea since you shared.
