It is with heavy heart that I need to rehome my dog. Walter is a 2 1/2 year old male german pointer mixed with Lab and Great Dane. He is 85 pounds. He is obedient. He sits, stays on command. He is kennel trained and will go in his kennel if you command him too. He does have some possession issues to toys and treats so we limit those to when he is in the kennel to avoid that behavior. I believe that can be corrected with proper training. He does not get along with other male dogs, which is why i need to rehome him. Walter would do well in a home with low energy (I have three teenagers), no pets and older children only. I think he is a wonderful dog but better suited to living with his owners only. He is a gentle giant that needs the attention that I am unable to provide. He would do well with a female dog. I think he would love to be in an environment with alot of land which is why I am posting in the Northern areas of AZ.
I will provide kennel, leash, medical records. He is current on vaccinations and chipped. He had severe pnemonia as a puppy and was treated. He is a perfectly healthy dog now. He was treated for three months and as a result has some scarring of the lungs. He has some labored breathing when exercising but has no restrictions.
I have posted to almost 50 different rescues both no kill and foster. I have requested helps from PACC911 and everytime I get a rejection and they give me a suggestion that I have not used, I do it. He is such a good dog and believe with the right person, he would have a good life.
