    How long does it take for the female dog's hair to grow back and the chronic itching to stop? It is not contagious hair loss.

    There was a recent Dodo Heroes episode about a nonprofit called Project Freedom Ride that helps to transport shelter dogs in Texas to Washington state. Not sure if they only deal with high-kill shelters. If you haven’t seen the show, it’s on The Dodo Facebook page.
