Without a team of dedicated and passionate individuals beside us, it would be hard to accomplish much on our own!

What are some great contributions made by other members of your team or organization lately?

Big or small, no contribution is too small to acknowledge.

Antioch Animal Services just opened their new surgery clinic, and is now able to do "in-house" surgeries and other procedures that were previously not available to them. A small opening team of a Dr. Kathy Mills and Nicole Brown RVT, are making a big difference!

As a small organization, we all wear many hats, but Elisabeth R., who helps coordinate our feline program, just sent off the last of our Purina Weight Circles (it's supposed to be a rewards program for breeders who feed Purina products but we signed up for it to help cover our vet bills) before the program is changing over to receipt tracking, versus cutting out the little circles on the side of the bags (which will keep people from donating said weight circles to us from bags they bought and fed to their own animals...).  Anyway, thanks to her hard work we have about $1000 on the way from Purina.  I don't anticipate we will continue to get this level of reward since now we'll need receipts, but it is a pain to gather all the little circles and add up how much we are supposed to get.  So a shout-out to Elisabeth who has been doing that, in addition to fielding calls from people wanting to surrender kittens, and helping coordinate medical care for feline fosters.  And ordering our medical supplies.  And other things!

While the rest of our customer-facing team was at the Best Friends conference last week, our amazing product manager @Zoe stepped in to make sure our customers were still well taken care of!

Every day, I am incredibly grateful to be part of Team Shelterluv, which includes some of the most passionate and smart people in animal welfare. =)
