    I wrote a column for the Reno newspaper somewhat recently on simple ways to improve pets' quality of life. If you've got any, please share in the comments -- I'd like to submit a revised version to a Las Vegas newspaper. I included dog-friendly restaurants

    Below is a photo of my cat Tegan taking advantage of one of my suggestions: installing a bird feeder outside the cats' window.
