  • 1.  What are the best ways to track petcare?

My family struggles with keeping track of who did what for our dog Riley and we were wondering what methods people use to track everything? A load of people have recommended that new free app OurPet (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ourpet/id1435861045) and so I think we might try it since everyone who uses it says its a game-changer for petcare, but I was also wondering what else people use?

I don't know if this may help, but all of my pets go to Banfield Pet Hospital. Since they are all on a Wellness Plan, we also use their App to help monitor upcoming health and wellness appointments (vaccinations, routine deworming, comprehensive physicals, dental cleaning, urine/fecal/blood screening, etc.). The App also has a Log feature that helps me track their weight and add any notes pertinent to one of my 7 animals.

The App also has an "Ask a Vet" feature which connects me to a Vet 24/7 to ask any questions that I may have. The App has come a long way since I began care with Banfield 4 years ago.

Are you referring to a daily regime? An old-fashioned list on the refrigerator could be helpful too. List what needs to be done, and each person who does it has to check it off. My husband and I have broken it into two pieces. I do 1/2 and he does the other. If for some reason we can not - we ask the other to cover. Pretty much, our dog lets us know if he is missing something, even his snacks! Let us know what you find out about the app.

I absolutely agree with Sharon.   As a mom for my own as well as several foster pets (all seniors with various meds and supplements at various times,  I borrowed this technique from small local shelter.    I could use app or spreadsheet on computer,   But a schedule on fridge or bulletin board which can be checked off, is handier.   One other thought, for one animal a pill box, one that has places for several times a day (which I use for my own medications, might help.
